Panos photographer Chris de Bode was commissioned by Concern Worldwide to document the effects of conflict and climate change on the food security of people living in Burundi, Niger and the Central African Republic.

The resulting work, which diverges from traditional NGO photography by showing people in front of a portable studio in their home environments, will be exhibited at London’s St Martin-in-the-Fields church next to Trafalgar Square from 19 September.
