Home: Bangladesh on the move

Southern Bangladesh is made up of a series of low-lying islands and peninsulas that stretch out into the Bay of Bengal. The coastal communities that live here stand on the frontlines of climate change and many are on the move to escape changing water levels.

Photographer Espen Rasmussen interviewed those on the move; some who have to physically relocate their homes on a regular basis, as land is eroded, others who have had to abandon their towns altogether.
