Two Panos photographers – Mads Nissen and Tommy Trenchard – have won awards at this year’s Istanbul Photo Awards.

Mads Nissen won in the Story – Daily Life category for his ongoing work on the cocaine trade stretching from Latin America to Europe.

Tommy Trenchard won in the Story – Nature & Environment category for his work on low lying islands off the coast of Sierra Leone that are threatened by rising sea levels.
