Five Panos photographers have been honoured at this year’s Sony World Photography Awards for their work.

Three photographers – Lalo de Almeida, Chantal Pinzi and Alessandro Gandolfi – were finalists in the Landscape, Sport and Still life categories, respectively.

Two photographers – Noriko Hayashi and Kasia Strek – were shortlisted for their work on Afghan Midwives and people working to repair the damage to global climate, respectively.
