Since relocating to Dakar Guy has focused on issues of migration, health, politics, and humanitarian crises across West and Central Africa. He travels extensively throughout the region, working on both breaking news and feature stories for major international outlets, including The Washington Post, De Volkskrant, The Guardian, Agence France-Presse, Al Jazeera, and The Christian Science Monitor.
Born in Jordan and raised across Russia, Turkey, and the UK, he has developed a deep global perspective that informs his work. He graduated from Falmouth University with a first class honours in Marine and Natural History Photography, specialising in underwater photography and film making before making the move to Senegal.
Guy’s impactful work on human rights abuses in Guinea-Bissau’s drug rehabilitation centers was recently nominated for the Amnesty Human Rights Media Awards in 2024.
